The social ant is very destructive when it brings friends to your home or workplace.

One ant? No problem. An army of ants? Food contamination, property damage and even the occasional bite.

You may think a tiny ant isn’t capable of ruining your furniture, but think again.

Carpenter ants are common in Australia. As the name suggests, they’re attracted to moist wood – especially when condensation gathers on doorways and windows in cold weather. It’s difficult to stop an invasion of carpenter ants from destroying wooden products, once they enter the premises.

Other ants prefer to feast on any type of food source – with sugary and fatty foods topping the menu.

4. A follow up maybe required in a few weeks to make sure there have been no more Ant sightings
